The Scottish Attainment Challenge (SAC) is about achieving equity in educational outcomes, with a particular focus on closing the poverty-related attainment gap. It focuses on accelerated targeted improvement activity in literacy, numeracy and health and well-being.


Scottish Attainment Challenge National Hub
Education Scotland's National Hub will enable practitioners to access evidence and research, online resources, guidance and a toolkit and the opportunity to liaise with expert networks and advice.

Professor Mel Ainscow was a keynote speaker at the Scottish Learning Festival 2015. His talk encouraged the aim of creating equity in the educational system. He looks at national education policies from more and more countries that are encouraging schools to become autonomous.
